Stagg Foods was established in 1955 as Rocking K Foods by Clement Hirsch.

Product for the company was first manufactured in Santa Fe Springs, California,

and then production was moved to Hillsboro, Oregon. In 1980, the company's

name was changed to Stagg Foods. In October 1996, Hormel Foods Corporation

acquired Stagg Foods. The Stagg Foods acquisition enhances Hormel Foods

Corporation's position as a leading manufacturer and marketer of canned chili.
